Benvenuti ad Amara

Introducing Amara - the newest member to call Ripley Sewing Centre home. When you work with Amara you enjoy a quality experience like never before and you will become mesmerized with how precise Amara is in all that she does. You will be gobsmacked with all the possibilities Amara offers to the world of quilting.

S-E-W make an appointment to meet Amara… Handi Quilter’s 20inch longarm quilting machine.

From baby quilts to king-size, the HQ Amara is the perfect fit for your style of quilting. Whether you quilt for fun, charity, or for profit, the Handi Quilter Amara offers innovative technology. Quality engineering provides the functionality that quilters demand. Combine that with the smoothest stitch in the industry and get ready to create masterpieces.

Ready to discover Amara's fantastic features? Let's go! ๐Ÿ

Lighting ๐Ÿ’ก

The Amara is packed with all those features long-arm quilters could want. With 20″ of brightly lit throat space, your workspace is as clear as a bell thanks to the menu-controlled QuiltMaster™ LED lighting package.

Stitch Regulation and Quality โœ”๏ธ

Of course, stitch quality is foremost for any long arm quilter. The Handi Quilter Amara gives you consistent stitch quality from 4-24 stitches per inch. QuiltMaster™ servo-controlled stitch regulation gives you perfect stitches, every time with two modes of stitch regulation: Precision or Cruise. In addition, you can go into manual mode with three customizable pre-set speeds.

In addition, Easy-Set Tension™ helps to make sure that the formed stitches are perfect — at up to 2,500 stitches per minute.

Let’s Drive! ๐Ÿš—

A 7-inch colour touch screen puts all the controls at your fingertips. Why even the hand-wheel is on the screen! The machine comes with the ruler and open toe foot, but is compatible with all Handi Feet®. Fill the large-capacity M-class bobbin, choose any one of the five built-in tie-off stitches, and you are ready to quilt. If using a pattern, a pinpoint needle laser will guide you.

The Handi Quilter Amara has independently adjustable, ergonomic front handlebars with integrated micro handles. You can program the handlebar buttons for specific functions, like needle up, or start or stop sewing. As an optional accessory, you can buy rear handlebars.

Choose one of 5 basting stitches to begin quilting your project. From manual mode to an automatic stitch every 2”, 1”, ½” or ¼”, the choice is yours!

Other Features ๐Ÿงต

A thread-break sensor and alarm alerts you to any problems, and a stitch counter and a bobbin-use estimator helps you know how much you can quilt before needing a new bobbin.

Ease of use is enhanced by the power switch on the front of the machine. There’s even a magnetic tool minder collar to help you keep track of scissors or any other tools you might need while quilting. Changing the needle is as simple as twisting a knob.

When you are ready to go “robotic” the Handi Quilter Amara is Pro-Stitcher ready! All necessary cabling is pre-installed inside the machine. When you add the Pro-Stitcher® you use a tablet for your machine display instead of the 7-inch colour touch screen. More information is available at https://handiquilter.com.au/product/pro-stitcher/.

Included with purchase is your choice of a 10′ or 12′ Studio2 frame. Made of high-quality steel, the HQ Studio2 Frame is a robust, professional-grade table and frame system for your home studio.

Simply Sewing on Saturdays
By John & Marie 14 Apr, 2023
Expressions of interest are invited from fellow sewing enthusiasts to join our 2023 Simply Sewing on Saturdays small group of like-minded people enthusiastic to share our patchwork and quilting journeys. We gather fortnightly from 9am to 12noon with a scrumptious morning tea enjoyed in between. You may like patchwork, applique, embroidery, or combining a range of techniques in your project; with perhaps the joy of one or more quilting styles to finish your creation. Many believe quilting needs to be a big, and expensive, activity with the results destined only for show of some kind. Simply Sewing on Saturdays enables members to be part of a quilting journey making project, big or small eg. from mug mats, place mats, table centres, bags/caddies, wall hangings, and everything in between; plus, quilts from cot to whatever size you wish. RSC will have patterns and kits available. Members can also bring a quality project of their own. In essence, the main aim is to create projects using quality materials in a supportive environment where sharing with others offers you the best in your patchwork and quilting journey. To express your interest please click on the "Get in touch" button above to tell us a little about yourself and what you would like to contribute. Note: Beginners (Male &/or Female) welcome to apply. Places are limited so we look forward to hearing from you soon. S-e-w until next time, from all the team, keep well and stay safe!
