Ripley Sewing Learning Centre is facilitating an Applique Program that is fun to do while giving participants the chance to practice and build wonderful Applique skills.

For this program Ripley Sewing Learning Centre has sourced Amanda Murphy's Flower Power Design which features oversized blooms showcased on a quilt with a decidedly modern twist.

If you would like to be involved in making the Flower Power Quilt which is 44-1/2” x 60-1/2″ here are the details:

This is a six by 3-hour session project with participants undertaking some session preparation at home.

Each participant will receive a pack containing:

*  A Pattern which includes

# template shapes that are already reversed for applique

# full-size placement diagrams, and

# directions for assembly

* Fabric for the background, applique, sashing, border and binding.

* Heat n Bond 5 metre pack.

.A sewing machine & Light Box suited to the program are required in good working order. So too is an Applique foot (e.g. #20 for Bernina, AP Applique Foot for Janome)

You are more than welcome to contact RSLC for advice about requirements.

Those comfortable with the completion of this project may like to consider the more advanced for which Ripley Sewing will be offering another session later in the year.  Watch this space.
